We are glad to join you in prayer, Fredrik, and we appreciate that you have turned to God with your requests. We will pray in Jesus' name, as He is the one who intercedes for us (Romans 8:34, WEB). We are reminded of this promise: "If you will ask whatever you desire in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14, WEB). Particularly moving is the Psalmist's cry, "Whom have I in heaven? There is none on earth whom I desire besides you." (Psalms 73:25, WEB). We should always desire God and His presence more than anything else. This will make any wife that God brings your way all the sweeter to enjoy.
As you seek a wife, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and to pursue a woman who also loves and follows Jesus. Remember, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). We must marry a fellow Christian so we can be equally yoked. We advise you to not just look for a women, but seek to be the man that God wants you to be. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it;" (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). God will bring the wife at the right time, but it is our job to be the husband that God wants us to be. As we do this, we will be more ready to meet a wife. As we delay our gratification, God will honor that. "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalms 37:4, WEB).
Regarding your employment, trust that God has a plan for you. We are reminded that, "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28, WEB). God knows your needs and He will provide for you. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, WEB). This means that food, clothing, and a job come after seeking God's Kingdom and His righteousness. Those things are included in the word "these" in the previous verse. Without putting God first and holiness second, we will not get the "these things" that we need.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Fredrik to You. Lord, we ask that You guide Fredrik to a godly wife, that You make a way for them to meet and get to know each other.
We believe in Your power to perform miracles in his life. We pray for Your will to be done in his life. We pray for his job situation, that You would open doors for him to find meaningful employment. We pray that "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it." (Psalm 81:10) will come to pass.
Help him to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide for all his needs. Give him peace and patience as he waits on Your timing. In Jesus Christ name we pray.
