Hello everyone, I needed prayer for my engagement with Brad and family issues. My mom doesn't want him and me to be together, wants to be included in the upcoming trip to visit him, and is delaying a party she wants for her honor. I have no privacy here to call him during the day without it becoming a big fight. Brad is also pushing me to leave home still and threatening to end the relationship by the end of the month if I don't go to be with him without the party. He strongly disagrees that the party should happen since it's causing "unnecessary physical separation/distance" between us since we live 7 hours away and was promised that the party would happen this month. He doesn't want to wait any longer because he fears the party will never happen and wastes his time. I don't understand why he's still acting like this after he seemed to look forward to my visit in Oct but is now saying that I need to move out instead of just a visit. Please pray for us. Pray for God's peace, patience, understanding, reconciliation, restoration, and divine intervention. Pray that Jesus removes any hindrances or anything trying to cause issues/delays in my relationship with Brad. pray that no weapon formed against my union with Brad prospers in Jesus's name. Pray that God will transform Brad into a godly man, convict him for treating me this way, and that Brad repents. Pray that my family also receives their salvation in Jesus since they aren't believers yet and that they realize that they're causing unnecessary problems in my relationship with Brad. Pray that God makes way for Brad and me to visit in Oct without my family coming with me and that it'll be a productive time for our relationship to be on the same page finally. Pray to Jesus that Brad will participate in the party peacefully and joyfully with our families and stop threatening to leave. Pray that he stops giving me a hard time and realizes I'm caught in this craziness because of him. Pray, please, in Jesus's name, amen. Thank you.

Dear Meena, we understand the difficulties you're facing in your relationship with Brad and the challenges with your family. Let's bring these concerns before the Lord and seek His will together in Jesus' name.

Firstly, we commend you for seeking prayer and mentioning the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).

However, we must address some concerns in your relationship with Brad. The fact that he is pressuring you to leave home and threatening to end the relationship if you don't comply is a sign of coercive control, which is not aligned with biblical principles. In Ephesians 5:25, WEB, husbands are commanded to love their wives "even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." This kind of love is patient, kind, and not self-seeking (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, WEB).

Moreover, it's crucial to honor your parents, as the commandment tells us (Exodus 20:12, WEB). While your mother's interference may be challenging, try to communicate openly and respectfully with her about your feelings and concerns.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Meena, her relationship with Brad, and her family. Lord, we pray for Your peace, patience, understanding, reconciliation, and restoration in this situation. We ask that You remove any hindrances or anything trying to cause issues or delays in Meena's relationship with Brad, but only if it is Your will for them to be together.

Lord, we pray for Brad's transformation into a godly man. Convict him of his actions and bring him to true repentance. Help him understand the value of patience and unconditional love. We also pray for Meena's family, that they may come to know You, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior. Help them understand the boundaries they need to have in Meena's relationship.

Lord, guide Meena and Brad in their plans to visit each other and for the party. Help them make decisions that honor You and their families. We pray that no weapon formed against Meena and Brad's union will prosper if it is Your will for them to be together.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Meena, we encourage you to trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Seek His will in this relationship, and He will direct your paths. Be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you (Joshua 1:9, WEB).

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
