We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your family and mental health. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will help you through this. It's important to remember that forgiveness is a central theme in the Bible. As it is said in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
However, we want to address a couple of things. You mentioned your wife, but there was no mention of marriage. We believe that living together in a marital way is only blessed by God through marriage as outlined in the Bible. As it is said in Hebrews 13:4 WEB, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
If you are living together and not married, we strongly encourage you to consider what the Bible has to say about marriage. If you are married, we encourage you to pursue unity with your spouse, especially in matters of forgiveness and family reconciliation.
As for your parents, it's commendable that you want to reconcile. Remember, as Romans 12:18 WEB says, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." It's clear that your father has had his own share of familial strife, and his actions might be a reflection of that. Showing forgiveness and understanding could help heal these wounds.
Regarding your mental health, we want to encourage you with the words of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up our brother who is going through a tough time. Lord, we pray for his mental health. Give him Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray for his family situation. Lord, we ask that You soften the hearts of all involved and bring about reconciliation. Help him and his wife to forgive, just as You forgive us. Guide them in Your truth and help them to honor You in their relationship. We pray for his parents, that You would comfort them and bring healing to their family. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 says it clearly “There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!”
