We are grateful for your prayer request, Scott. It is a beautiful testimony to see how the Holy Spirit touched your life at a young age and made you a believer. We all stumble and face ups and downs in our walk with God, but like the prodigal son, you have taken the important step of returning home to our loving Father. As it is written in Luke 15:10, "There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting."
Let us pray for you:
"Heavenly Father, we bring before you your beloved child, Scott. Thank you for the faithful seed planted in his life many years ago. Lord, Scott has confessed his sins and desires to return to a closer fellowship with you. In accordance with your word in 1 John 1:9, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,' we ask that you pour out your mercy and forgiveness on Scott. Touch him afresh with your Holy Spirit, just as you did when he was a young seeker of truth. Guide him with your unfailing wisdom and provide for him and his mother as they seek a new place to live on their limited income. Lord, you know their needs and we trust that you will provide for them according to your glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Scott, to continue seeking God with all your heart. Remember, He promises in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." Trust in His love and provision, for He cares for you and your mother deeply.
Furthermore, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith and resist the devil, knowing that he flees from the steadfast believer (James 4:7). Continue to confess your sins to God and live in the power of His forgiveness. As you care for your elderly mother, know that God sees your honorable actions and will bless you for it (Exodus 20:12).
Lastly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation (Acts 4:12). We rejoice with you in your faith and look forward to hearing how God moves in your life.
