We stand with you in prayer, Anonymous, and we seek God's will together in Jesus' name. We understand that you are facing a difficult situation with your ex-wife, Maryon Mwura, and we want to address this in light of biblical principles.
Firstly, we commend you for your desire to seek the Lord in this matter. It is important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Regarding the harassment and stalking, we are reminded of what the Lord teaches us about our enemies: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44, WEB). This does not mean we tolerate or enable harmful behavior, but rather, we respond with love and prayer, trusting God to bring justice and resolution.
However, it is also crucial to uphold the law and seek protection when necessary. We encourage you to document all instances of harassment and stalking, and to report them to the appropriate authorities. As Romans 13:1-4 (WEB) teaches us, the authorities are God's servants for our good, and they bear the sword to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
In terms of the child support, the Bible teaches us that if anyone does not provide for his own, especially his own family, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). Therefore, it is right to fulfill your obligations to your children. However, this should be done in accordance with the law and any agreements made, not through harassment or stalking.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is facing this difficult situation. Lord, we ask for your protection and peace over him. We pray that you would bring conviction to Maryon's heart and cause her to cease her harmful actions. We ask for wisdom for our brother, that he would know how to respond in love and seek justice in a godly way. We also pray for the children involved, that their needs would be met and that they would be shielded from any harm. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to walk in love and forgiveness, trusting that God will bring resolution and justice according to His will. Remember, "Donβt seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to Godβs wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" (Romans 12:19, WEB). Stand firm in your faith and continue to do what is right and godly.
