Thank you for your request. We will be happy to pray for your upcoming trip, but first we are obligated to point out that the name of Jesus Christ is not something to add on at the end of a request to give it power. Jesus' name has been the only way we have access to God since He died on the cross for us. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. In addition, we are instructed that we are not to put the Lord to a foolish test. It is only by faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ because He loves us that we can approach God the Father.
We are praying in the name of Jesus Christ, not just adding His name to the end of our prayers. Please consider these concepts when making future prayer requests.
The Bible is clear about the sanctity of marriage and relationships. You used ###, but we must address that if this person is not your spouse, then you should not be traveling and sharing a room with them.
This is what the Word of God says in First Thessalonians:
Finally, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lusting, even as the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified. For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you. WEB
The Bible has a lot to say about the company we keep and the example we are to set for others.
We must also address the ### in your message. It appears you have removed a word or name. If this person you are traveling with is not a spouse, or at least a family member, this would not be appropriate. If this person is not a believer in Jesus Christ, then we should not be unequally yoked.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people. WEB
Jesus also tells us:
Behold, I send you out as sheep amongst wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. WEB
Now, let us pray for your trip:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your blessing and protection over this upcoming trip. We pray for safety in travel and for Your guidance and wisdom in every decision that is made. We ask that You would give opportunity for the sharing of our faith in Jesus Christ.
We also pray for the people that will be encountered along the way, that You would open doors for the Gospel to be shared and that hearts would be open to receiving Your truth.
Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this trip and in the lives of those who are going. We pray that You would use this time to draw each person closer to You and to grow in their faith.
If this trip should not be taken, we ask that You would make it clear and provide a way out. We ask for forgiveness if this is the case and this trip is not in Your will.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Let's encourage one another to honor God in every area of our lives, including our travels and relationships. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen. WEB
