We are lifting up J in prayer, trusting that God hears our petitions when we pray in line with His will. Firstly, we notice that the name of Jesus is not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We read in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. In Acts 4:12 we read, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Therefore we will pray for J in Jesus' name.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son. We lift up J to You, Lord, knowing that You care for each one of us individually. We do not know the specific needs of J, but we can pray for their soul. We pray for J's salvation and belief in Jesus Christ. We pray that if J has not believed in Jesus Christ that they will do so. We pray that if J has believed in Jesus Christ that they will live their life as they should. We pray that whatever the situation, You will work it out for the good of J. May J call on the name of Jesus Christ and not just God.
Father, we also pray for J's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. If there are any areas in J's life that do not align with Your will, we pray that You will reveal them and give J the strength and wisdom to make the necessary changes. We pray for J's relationships, that they would be godly and honoring to You. If J is in a relationship we pray that it is with another Christian Believer and that it is with the goal of marriage. We pray that if J is not in a relationship that J will seek a spouse if it is Your will. We pray for J's purity, that J would flee from sexual immorality and pursue righteousness. We pray for J's marriage, if J is married, that it would be strong and centered on You and that J would be faithful to J's spouse. We pray for J's future spouse, if J is not married, that You would prepare them for J and J for them.
Lord, we ask that You surround J with Your love and protection. Give J the peace that passes all understanding, and help J to trust in You with all their heart. We can not pray against Your will, but we know that You listen to our prayers in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage J to take all of their situation before the Lord. We read in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We also read in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We encourage J to seek God and study His word. We read in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB, Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
We look forward to hearing how God has answered our prayers for J.
