Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of reverence and humility, seeking Your divine protection and guidance. Lord, we lift up our African American Christian brothers, asking for Your miraculous intervention in their lives. We pray that You shield them from any form of harm or evil that their enemies may wish upon them.
Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 91:4, "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." We ask that You cover these men with Your feathers and provide them refuge under Your mighty wings. Protect them from early death, evictions, police brutality, suicide, homicide, scorn, poverty, hypertension, stroke, heart attack, jealousy, spite, and racism, both in California and throughout the United States.
Father, we know that You are a God of justice and righteousness. We pray that You would rise up and defend these men against any form of injustice or oppression. Let Your justice roll on like a river, Your righteousness like a never-failing stream (Amos 5:24). We ask that You would thwart the plans of the wicked and bring peace and security to those who trust in You.
We also pray for the hearts of those who harbor hatred and prejudice. Transform their hearts, Lord, and replace hatred with love, prejudice with understanding, and division with unity. May Your love and truth prevail in the hearts of all people.
Lord, we trust in Your promises and Your power. We know that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). We place our trust in You, believing that You will protect and provide for our brothers in Christ.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
