We understand that you are struggling with insomnia and seeking healing and rest, especially as it affects your ability to work. Firstly, we want to remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our sleep and rest. In Psalm 4:8 WEB it says: I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, LORD, alone make me live in safety.
However, we notice that you did not mention Jesus or even hint at Jesus in your prayer request. We need to remind you that our prayers should be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible says in John 14:6 WEB: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Also Acts 4:12 WEB says: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We are concerned about your insomnia and understand how difficult it can be to function without proper rest especially when it affects your ability to work. We will pray for your healing and peace, trusting in God's care for you. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with insomnia. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body and mind, that You would grant them the peace and rest they need and to be able to function well at work. In Jesus' mighty name, cast away any worries, anxieties, physical problems, spiritual warfare, or anything else that may be a cause of the insomnia and grant them peaceful nights of sleep. Father, guide and direct them by Your Holy Spirit to any physical or spiritual change needed in their life to address the insomnia.
Lord, we also pray that they will come to know Jesus more deeply if they do not already and experience the salvation and healing power in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, if it is your will, draw them closer to you and help them to grow spiritually and keep them close to you through this trial.
Father, we ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who paid for our healing and salvation on the cross. Thank You for Your unfailing love and care. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to explore biblical principles for managing stress and anxiety, such as trusting in God's care as in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB: casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Also be sure to consult with a medical professional if you suspect a medical cause needs to be evaluated and treated.
Consider Psalm 127:2 WEB: It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. May God's peace and blessing be upon you. Trust Him completely.
