We join with you, Umaeg, in praying for harmony and peace in your home during this precious time with your newborn baby. We thank the Lord for your mother-in-law's willingness to come and help you both. The Bible instructs Christians to work in unity.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13 WEB). Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10 WEB). And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. If you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:13-15 WEB).
So let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Umaeg, her husband, her mother-in-law, and their newborn baby. We pray for genuine love and respect to fill their home, as You have commanded us to love one another, just as Christ has loved us (John 13:34 WEB). Help them to appreciate each other and be kind, guided by the Holy Spirit, whose fruit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).
Lord, we ask for Your supernatural grace to be upon all three of them, that they may take good care of the baby. Let Your love and patience be evident in their actions and words towards their baby. Guide them with Your wisdom, and help them to be good examples of a godly family. Help them always to be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray for unity and peace in their home. We know that we are all imperfect and have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and all have need of Your grace. Therefore, help them to live in harmony with each other, with their focus on You and Your will. Let them not be selfish or conceited, but esteem others higher than themselves (Philippians 2:3 WEB). Remind them always to forgive each other, just as Christ forgave them (Colossians 3:13 WEB).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Umaeg, continue to trust in the Lord and lean on Him for strength and guidance. Be confident in knowing that He hears your prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. God will guide you and your husband as you raise your child in the ways of the Lord. Be encouraged by the words of Proverbs 22:6 WEB, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Remember that we are all accountable to God for our actions. Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14 WEB). Let us all be honest with ourselves, and with God, so we can grow as believers in Christ. We must always be watchful of our words and actions. We are to be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror for he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves (James 1:22-25 WEB).
Finally, encourage your mother-in-law to continue to seek God's guidance and wisdom as she helps you with the baby. Remember that her effort is a blessing that we should not take lightly.
