We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, praying for the oppressed and marginalized. We condemn any form of hatred, racism, or prejudice, as God shows no partiality, for all are one in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray in the Words of God in Acts 10:34-35 WEB:
"Opening his mouth, Peter said, 'Truly I perceive that God is not respectful of persons; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.'"
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all African American Christian men, women, and children who are facing harassment, stalking, and hate crimes. We pray that You will put on Your righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on Your head; You will put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and will clad Yourself with zeal as a mantle.
Lord, we ask You to intervene and put an end to this wickedness. We know not the day nor hour but we know that the Lord hears our prayers and will answer. Bring the wicked to justice, we pray that the wickedness of the racist be brought to justice. Lord, convict their hearts and bring them to repentance and forgiveness. Comfort and protect those who are being treated unjustly. Give them the strength and courage to endure, and surround them with Your favor as with a shield.
We pray for the leaders and authorities in our nations that they would enact and enforce laws that protect the innocent and punish the guilty. We pray that You will raise up righteous leaders who will stand for justice and equality.
We also pray for the hearts of the racist and those who perpetrate these crimes. We pray that You will convict their hearts and bring them to repentance. Help them to see the value and worth of every person, regardless of the color of their skin.
We ask all this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of all mankind, that we might be reconciled to God and to one another. Amen.
We encourage all those who are suffering from hate crimes and racism to put their trust in the Lord and to pray for their enemies, as Jesus commanded us to do. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44 WEB:
"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Lastly, we encourage all believers to stand together in unity, for there is strength in unity. As it says in Psalm 133:1 WEB:
See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!
