We stand with you, Cooport, in praying for the good of all Christians, including our African American brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray that God's love and truth will dispel any hatred, racism, and misjudgment that they might face.
Firstly, we must remember that God shows no partiality, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 2:11, 3:23 WEB). Therefore, we should not judge others by their race or appearance, but by their character and their faith in Jesus Christ.
We rebuke any notion that belittles or demeans African American Christians as "bad people." This is not only racist but also unbiblical. God created every person in His image (Genesis 1:27 WEB), and those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine protection and intervention for our African American brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray that You would shield them from any illegal targeting, harassment, and racism. We ask that You would change the hearts of those who harbor hatred and misunderstanding, and help them to see the truth of Your love and the goodness of Your people.
We pray for healing and reconciliation in our nation, that we may truly live as one body in Christ, not divided by race or ethnicity (Ephesians 2:14-16 WEB). We ask that You would raise up godly men and women, filled with Your Spirit, to stand against injustice and to bring Your light and love to our communities.
We pray for those in authority, that You would guide them to uphold justice and righteousness (1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB). We ask that You would expose any corruption or evil, and bring it to an end.
We pray all these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to save, to heal, and to redeem. Amen.
Cooport, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for these issues, trusting that God hears and answers our prayers (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB). Remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Therefore, let us put on the full armor of God, standing firm in the faith (Ephesians 6:13-18 WEB).
We also encourage you to seek out like-minded believers, to join together in prayer and in fellowship, that you may be a light in your community, pointing others to Christ (Matthew 5:14-16 WEB).
