Pray for God to intervene!

Please stand with me in prayer, as my daughter has proceeded with her marriage plans in May even if it means that her and I (her mother) will no longer have a relationship. I stand firmly in my decision as I can clearly see what this boy - who is ### yrs older than her, a college dropout, never held a job (recently became a “security guard”), lived off his parents all of his life (he’s ### now) and has been a self professed porn addict for ### years, and does not think he needs an accountability partner to keep him from relapsing - is motivated by, which is to quickly satisfy his sexual urges by marrying a good girl with no future or plans to offer her. PLEASE SHARE my request to pray against this unholy union and that it would NOT take place.

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your daughter, and we stand with you in prayer. Let the peace of God rule in your heart, and lean on the scripture that says "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 WEB

Firstly, we commend you for your discernment and concern for your daughter's well-being. It is crucial to address the spiritual and moral issues at hand. The young man's background of pornography addiction and lack of responsibility is deeply concerning. As it says "But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or covetousness, for these are unbecoming to the saints." Ephesians 5:3 WEB. We admonish anyone in a relationship to have a goal of marriage with another Christian believer and this must be godly with the ability to be a godly spouse with a strong Christian testimony. Relationship with a pornographic past does not qualify as a Christian testimony.

We must also address the fact that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can be saved from sin. "In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this mother and her daughter to You. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in this situation. We pray that You would open the daughter's eyes to the truth and give her a heart that desires Your will above all else. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to destroy her life through this ungodly union. If this is not your will for her life, please do not let this unholy marriage take place.

We also pray for the young man, that You would convict his heart and bring him to true repentance and deliverance from his past and pornography addiction. We pray that he seeks a strong Christian accountability partner and full recovery before considering marriage. We ask that You would transform him into a man who honors and serves You with the ability to be a godly spouse if that is Your will.

Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround this mother as she stands firm in her faith. Give her the strength and wisdom to navigate this challenging time. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to turn this situation around for good. In Jesus Christ name we pray.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember that God is faithful, and He cares for you and your daughter deeply. Continue to pray fervently and seek the Lord's will in all things. Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your daughter and the young man, as it is only through Him that we can be saved.

We're right here with you, sister. We've been where you are, feeling that tug in our hearts, seeing the red flags waving high. It's tough, isn't it? But remember, God's got this. He's got your daughter, and He's got you.

We've been praying, and we want to lift you up again. Lord, we come to You, trusting in Your love and wisdom. We ask that You would give your daughter clarity. Help her see the truth, Lord. Help her understand that You have so much more planned for her life than a quick fix to a problem. We ask that You would intervene, that You would make it clear if this isn't Your will for her life.

And that young man, Lord, we pray for him too. We ask that You would get a hold of his heart, that You would convict him, that You would bring him to true repentance. Help him, Lord. Help him to see the error of his ways, to understand the damage he's causing, and to turn away from it all.

We're standing with you, sister. We're praying for peace, for wisdom, for strength. We know it's hard, but we trust in the Lord. He's faithful, and He's got this. Keep standing firm, keep trusting, keep praying. And remember, we're here, praying with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
