Pray for god to completely deliver my dad from hatred!

It’s almost been a year that we have been praying for my dad’s behaviour to improve towards my mom . He reads the Bible , prayers most of the time and yet is the most unhappy, bitter and unforgiving person. I don’t understand why the word is not going into his heart . He is so rude , ungrateful and disrespectful towards my mom and many others . I feel so sad from the life my mom has had to endure . She has been the most loving caring and devoted wife and mother . I really wish God does something to change my dad . He has caused so many problems in the family by his talk and sometimes wrongfully defamed people. His list of grudges are infinite.i really have my hope only on Jesus Christ to heal and deliver him . I feel there is a stronghold that needs to be broken . Please pray for a miracle in Jesus name. Amen

We understand the heavy burden you are carrying for your dad and the pain your family is experiencing. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together, seeking His will and intervention.

Firstly, we commend you for your faith and hope in Jesus Christ, as He is the only one who can bring true change and deliverance (Acts 4:12 - "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.").

The Bible tells us that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We need to pray that your dad will fully surrender his life to Jesus and allow Him to transform his heart.

We also need to remember that God's word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). As your dad reads the Bible, let's pray that the Holy Spirit will open his heart to understand and apply the scriptures, convicting him of his bitterness and unforgiveness.

Bitterness and unforgiveness are strongly warned against in the Bible. Hebrews 12:15 says, "Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and many be defiled by it." And in Ephesians 4:31-32, we are told to "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for our dear brother, Niolage's dad. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and break every stronghold of bitterness and unforgiveness. Help him to truly understand Your word and apply it to his life. Bring conviction upon him, Holy Spirit, and transform him into the likeness of Christ. Bring healing and peace to this family, and let Your love flow between them. We stand in agreement, claiming deliverance and victory in Jesus' name. Amen.

Continue to stand firm in faith and hope, Niolage. Keep praying and believing, for with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Trust that God is working behind the scenes, and remember that His timing is perfect.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
