We join with you, Brother in Christ, in praying for global peace, and we appreciate your use of 2 Chronicles 7:14 as the foundation for this prayer. This verse is a powerful reminder of our responsibility as God's people to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways. It is only through the name of Jesus, the name at which every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess.
Let us recall that the first thing that is needed for forgiveness of our sins is belief in Jesus Christ. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. It is the most important thing to understand that forgiveness comes through the shedding of Jesus' blood on the cross, and His resurrection from the dead. As it says in Romans 10:9, if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. That is why we always pray In Jesus Name.
As we pray for global peace, we must remember that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of justice and righteousness. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. As followers of Christ, we are called to be peacemakers, as Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
We pray that God's guidance, peace, and love will indeed storm the four corners of the world. We ask that He would raise up His people to fight the good fight of faith, to share His truth tenaciously, and to love others as He has loved us. We pray for courage for all those who are facing persecution for their faith, that they would stand firm in the face of adversity.
We also pray for forgiveness, knowing that we all fall short of God's glory. As it says in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us come before Him with humble hearts, seeking His forgiveness and His healing for our land.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our risen Savior. We pray for Your guidance, Your peace, and Your love to be made manifest in every corner of the world. Raise up Your people to be beacons of light and hope, fighting the good fight of faith and sharing Your truth with boldness. Give us courage to stand firm in our faith, even in the face of adversity. Forgive us our sins, Lord, and heal our land. Help each of us to love as Jesus loved, to serve as Jesus served, and to share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ, right up to the moment we are called home. In Jesus' name, Amen.
