Let us begin by praying for Gerry, that God would grant him a spirit of understanding and compassion towards Maks' situation. We pray that Gerry's heart would be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and that he would be reminded of the love and mercy that God has shown each of us. As it says in Ephesians 4:32 WEB:
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
We also lift up Dyl, Lenora, and Mark before the Lord, asking that He would provide for their needs and guide them to suitable accommodation. We pray that they would be able to work things out with Gerry, and that their conversations would be marked by grace, truth, and love.
However, we must address a concern from the prayer request. The term "partner" is used to describe Dyl's relationship, and this is not in alignment with biblical principles. In the Bible, marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We encourage Dyl to pursue a relationship that aligns with these principles, seeking a godly spouse rather than a partner. As it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB:
Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?
We also notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
If Dyl, Lenora, and Mark have not already done so, we encourage them to put their faith in Jesus Christ, confessing their sins and committing their lives to Him.
Lastly, regarding Gerry's reluctance to have Mark in his home, we pray that all parties involved would be guided by the Lord, and that His will would be done. We pray that any disagreements or conflicts would be resolved in a manner that honors God. As it says in Romans 12:18 WEB:
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
Let us pray.
Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up Gerry, Dyl, Lenora, and Mark. We ask that You would grant Gerry a spirit of understanding and compassion, and that You would provide suitable accommodation for Dyl, Lenora, and Mark. We pray that any disagreements would be resolved in a manner that honors You, and that all parties involved would be guided by Your will. We also pray for Dyl's relationship, that it would align with Your principles, and that You would draw each of them closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
