We understand your concern for Eric Godwin and we join you in prayer, seeking God's divine intervention in his life. However, we must remember that while God is merciful, He also desires us to live in obedience to His laws. As the Scripture says in Romans 13:1-2 (WEB), "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves condemnation."
While we pray for Eric's release, we also pray that he has truly repented of any wrongdoing and is committed to living a life that honors God. We pray that God will work a miracle in his heart, and that this time of trial will bring him closer to Jesus Christ. As it is written in Hebrews 13:3 (WEB), "Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Eric Godwin. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. If it is Your will, we pray that You will release him from jail or prison. We also pray that this trial will bring him closer to You, that he will repent of any sins and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation. We ask that You will comfort and strengthen him during this time, and that You will guide him according to Your will.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Suninka, we noticed that your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, as there is power in His name (Acts 4:12).
May God bless you and Eric, and may His will be done in both of your lives.
