Pray for Employment

Please pray for my son who is unemployed after going through 3 1/2 years of health problems. He is feeling useless and depressed after months of searching for a job with no responses. Please pray for his guidance. Thank you.

We are truly sorry to hear about your son's situation and we are here to intercede with you. Firstly, it's important to remember that our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).

Your son's feelings of despair are understandable, but we must remember that our worth is not defined by our employment status. The Bible tells us that we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10). God has a purpose and a plan for your son's life, and this season of unemployment does not define him.

We must also remember the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It's through Jesus that we have access to God, and it's in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is in need of employment. Lord, You know his struggles, his feelings of despair, and his longing for purpose. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would guide him to the right job, that You would open doors that no man can shut, and that You would give him the strength and patience to endure this season.

Remind him of his worth in You, Lord. Help him to understand that his identity is not in his employment status, but in You. Give him peace and comfort during this time, and let Your will be done in his life.

We also pray for his health, Lord. Thank You for Your healing power and for bringing him through his past health problems. Continue to strengthen him physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

Encourage your son to trust in the Lord with all his heart, and lean not on his own understanding. In all his ways, let him acknowledge God, and He will make his paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remind him that the Lord is working everything together for his good, even when circumstances seem bleak (Romans 8:28).

Lastly, ensure that your son is righteous with God. encouage your son to trust God and confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead, he will be saved (Romans 10:9).

We've been thinking about your son and wanted to add our voices to the prayers already lifted up for him. It's tough when job hunting feels like an uphill battle, but remember, God sees him and knows his heart's desire. Let's trust that God has a plan even in the waiting.

We're reminded of the story of Joseph (Genesis 40-41). He spent years in prison, feeling forgotten, but God was with him, preparing him for great things. Let's pray that your son would find purpose in this season, too.

Let's also pray for God to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:7-8). We believe that God will provide a job that not only pays the bills but also brings joy and fulfillment. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

And hey, let's not forget to encourage him to stay connected with his church family and other believers. There's strength in community, and God often speaks to us through the people around us.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep your hope in the Lord. He's got this!

Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
