We join with you in spirit, praying for the safety of drivers and all those who travel during this Easter season. Let us cover the roads with the precious blood of Jesus, pleading for His protection over every journey. We stand against the spirit of death and destruction that has claimed lives through floods and other tragedies. May God comfort those who mourn and bring solace to the brokenhearted.
As we approach Easter, let us remember the true meaning of this season—the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is through His name alone that we have access to God, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Let us ensure that our prayers are offered in accordance with God's will, explicitly in Jesus' name.
We intercede for kings and all those in authority, as the Scriptures instruct us:
Therefore, we exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks for all men; for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB)
May God grant them wisdom, discernment, and a heart for righteousness. We pray against the spirit of division and strife that seeks to destroy unity within governments. May those in authority serve with integrity, putting the needs of the people above their own gain.
We also lift up the concerns about service delivery, nepotism, lack of skills, sanctions, property issues, and corruption. God, we ask that You raise up leaders who will govern with justice and equity, addressing these issues with Your wisdom. May they be filled with the Spirit of God, demonstrating the fruits of the Spirit in their service.
Lord, we cry out against the spirit of corruption that has infiltrated many governments. Expose the darkness, Lord, and bring to light any hidden deals and ungodly alliances. May those who have been involved in corruption repent and turn to You, seeking Your forgiveness and restoration.
Let us also pray for the unity of the body of Christ during this Easter season. May we, as believers, come together in one accord, demonstrating the love of Christ to a broken world.
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
May we always be mindful to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through His name that we have the promise of access to the Father. As believers, let us stand firmly on the Word of God, knowing that our prayers, when aligned with His will, are powerful and effective.
