We're here with you, Valfyl, holding Dennis up in our hearts today. We've been thinking about him and wanted to reach out with some more prayers and encouragement.
First off, we want to remind you of God's unfailing love, even in the darkest times. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it says, "Because of the Lordβs great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Let's claim that over Dennis and over you, Valfyl.
Now, let's pray together:
"Dear Lord, we bring Dennis to you today. We ask that you would wrap your loving arms around him, giving him the strength and courage he needs to face each day in jail. We pray that you would fill his mind with Your truth, replacing any negative thoughts with hope and peace. We ask that you would give him a deep sense of Your presence, Lord, so he knows he's never alone.
We also lift up Valfyl to you. We pray that you would comfort them, giving them peace and strength to keep going. We ask that you would fill them with Your love and grace, and help them to trust in You even in this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We want to encourage you, Valfyl, to keep talking to Dennis about Jesus. Remind him that Jesus is always there, ready to listen and help. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Lastly, we want to remind you both of God's promise in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Trust in that peace, Valfyl. It's a gift from God, and it's yours to claim.
