We understand your concern and pain, Valfyl, as you long to hear from your son Dennis. Let us come before God together in prayer, seeking His comfort and protection for Dennis.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to the Father, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" So, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Dennis to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the whereabouts of every soul, and we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around Dennis right now, wherever he is. We pray that You would grant him safety and protection, and that Your angels would surround him, according to Psalm 91:11 (WEB), "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."
Father, we also ask that You would reveal Yourself to Dennis in a powerful way. Draw him close to You, Lord, and let him know the peace and comfort that only You can provide. We pray that Dennis would come to know You as his personal Savior, if he does not already, and that Your will would be done in his life.
Lord, we also lift up Valfyl, who mourns the absence of her son. Grant her peace that surpasses all understanding, God. Comfort her heart and dry her tears, as You promise to do in Revelation 21:4 (WEB), "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away."
In the meantime, Valfyl, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He cares for you and Dennis. Cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
Lastly, we want to gently remind you to direct your prayers to God the Father in the name of Jesus, instead of addressing Jess or any other name. It is through Jesus alone that our prayers are heard, as He is the one mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
We stand with you in prayer, Valfyl, believing that God will work in Dennis' life and in yours.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
