Dear Valfyl,
We understand your concern for Dennis and we join you in lifting him up to the Lord in prayer. We must remember that God is readily available to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
First, let us pray for Dennis:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and grace upon Dennis. We pray for his safety and protection while he is in jail. Surround him with Your angels and comfort him with Your presence. Grant him the strength and wisdom to make the right decisions and to walk in Your light even in this dark place. Help him to be a testimony of Your love and grace to others around him. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying for Dennis, trusting that God is at work in his life, even in this difficult situation. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we must also address that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-10).
Lastly, we gently remind you that prayers should be directed to God alone, not to angels or saints. God is our sole mediator through Jesus Christ, as emphasized in 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB), "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
We are here for you, Valfyl. Keep trusting in the Lord and praying in Jesus' name.
