Let us lift up David Smith in prayer, seeking God's will for his life. We understand that he is facing difficulties, feeling discouraged, and struggling to find a decent job despite his Master's degree from Johns Hopkins. We need to pray for his strength, perseverance, and success, while also asking God to help him find a godly spouse and experience true happiness and a long life.
Firstly, let us address the spiritual warfare David is facing. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. David needs to stand firm against the wiles of the devil, and we pray that God will give him the strength to do so.
Now, let us pray for David's employment situation. We know that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and that includes David's career.
Remember that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Sometimes, God allows us to face trials and disappointments to shape us and prepare us for the plans He has for us. We pray that David will trust in God's timing and continue to seek His will for his career.
Regarding David's future family, we pray that God will bring a godly wife into his life.
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
We pray that David will find a woman who loves the Lord and shares his values, so that they can build a strong, God-honoring marriage together.
Finally, we pray for David's happiness and longevity.
Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
We ask God to bless David with contentment, joy, and a long life, keeping him from the extremes of poverty and riches, and always drawing him closer to Himself.
Dear God, we come before You today, lifting up David Smith. We pray that You would give him the strength to stand firm against the enemy's attacks, and that You would guide his steps in his career. Help him to trust in Your timing and to seek Your will for his life and remember that John 15:7 says
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
We pray that you would be glorified in David's life and that he would bear much fruit for your kingdom.
And we ask that you would bring a godly wife into his life and bless him with a happy, long life. We pray that he will always draw closer to you and not have any unrepented sin in his life.
We also remind Ciorath and David that we do not have access to God without the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. For Jesus said, "nor is there salvation in any other name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." When we pray to God this also applies. And Jesus also said to Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. And so we pray for David and Ciorath to continue to believe in Jesus and call on his name.
