We understand your concern for ### and ###, and we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for their lives. Let us first acknowledge that God's Word is clear about being unequally yoked and sexual sin. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" And in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### and ###. We know, Lord, that it is not Your will for Your children to be in unequally yoked relationships or to engage in sexual sin. We ask that You convict their hearts, Lord. Open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. We pray that they would repent, turn away from their sin, and seek Your face. We ask that You would bring godly influences into their lives, people who would speak Your truth in love. We also pray for their protection, that You would guard their hearts and minds until they turn back to You.
We also pray for those who have advised them, that they would not be discouraged by ### and ###'s response. Help them to continue to love and pray for ### and ###, trusting that You are at work in their lives.
Finally, Lord, we ask that ### and ### would come to understand the power of the name of Jesus. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father. It is in His name that we are saved. Help them to see that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Take heart, knowing that God is faithful and that He loves ### and ### even more than we do. He is pursuing them, even now. Keep praying and trusting Him to work in their lives. As it says in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap at the proper time, if we don't give up."
