We are with you in spirit, dear sister, as you seek the Lord's help for your husband and your marriage. We commend you for your desire to walk in the full armor of God and provide guidance to your husband with love and discernment.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in the power of Jesus' name, as you've repeatedly mentioned His mighty name. It is only through Jesus name that we can save ourselves and our relatives. Acts 4:12 reminds us: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
The Bible calls us to love our spouses as Christ loved the church, which often involves helping them in their struggles. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." This same principle applies to wives in their support for their husbands.
Pornography is a serious issue that hurts many marriages, but it is not unconquerable. We know that through Christ, we can overcome even the strongest of strongholds. As it is written 2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB: "(for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds),"
Here is our prayer for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### and her husband. Lord, we pray that You would grant her the grace to walk in the full armor of God, to be discerning, and to love her husband as You love Your church. Help her to not hold grudges or malice, but to extend the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit to her husband.
Lord Jesus, we stand against the stronghold of pornography in his life. We pray that You would set him free from this bondage, that You would renew his mind and help him to see his wife as You see her. We pray for healing and restoration to their marriage.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill their marriage with Your love. Help them to walk in friendship and unity, that their love for each other may be a testament to the world of Your unfailing love.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior and remember to put on the full armor of God daily Ephesians 6:10-20 WEB.
In your efforts to support your husband, do not forget to seek support for yourself as well. Galatians 6:2 WEB reminds us to: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." This may involve reaching out to trusted Christian friends, mentors, or counselors who can provide you with godly advice and encouragement.
Lastly, sister, remember the power of forgiveness. Matthew 6:14-15 WEB reminds us: "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." As you support your husband, be ready to forgive, as Christ forgave us.
