We understand your concern regarding potential cuts to Social Security and we stand with you in prayer, and encourage you to pray for God to provide wisdom, guidance, and a better understanding of the financial situations at hand. We must remember and pray that God will raise up leaders with wisdom, discernment and integrity. We should pray that they will have good judgment when it comes to making decisions that have consequences for the people they serve. We should remember that God is able to do anything, but also remember that God is sovereign over all human affairs and that He may use economic circumstances as a means to draw people closer to Himself. We must seek His will, not just our own desires. We should pray that God will be glorified in everything.

Let's pray:

Almighty God, you are the provider of all things and the ruler of all authorities. We come before you, Lord, to ask for your wisdom and guidance for those in authority. We pray that those in the current administration will seek your will and make decisions that align with your principles. We ask that you soften their hearts and turn their minds toward you, Lord. We pray that they will not make unnecessary cuts to Social Security, and that they will instead look to you for guidance on how to best care for the needs of your people. We pray that they will govern with integrity and wisdom, and that they will be a blessing to those they serve.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
