We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, and we stand with you in prayer during this difficult time. We appreciate that you have come to us in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that receive eternal salvation and communion with God the Father.
Firstly, we pray for God's overwhelming grace, mercy, peace, and love to envelop you, your son, and your entire family. We ask that God's angels surround you all, protecting you as a wall of divine support. We pray for the power of Jesus Christ to be present throughout the planning and the funeral, breaking any evil powers that may be at work.
We pray for you and your son, that God would grant you both favor and wisdom as you plan a Christian burial for your mother. May her funeral be a blessing and a testimony to the power of Jesus Christ, the only way to the Father. We pray that all attendees would encounter the love of Jesus and be drawn closer to Him.
We must address the concerns about your brother. The Bible is clear that engaging with mediums, practicing yoga, and other similar activities can open doors to evil influences. As the Lord warns in Leviticus 19:31, 'Do not turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Do not seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.' And in Leviticus 20:6, 'The person who turns to those who are mediums, and to the wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.'
We pray that your brother would turn away from these practices and turn to Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord would deliver him from any evil influences and bring him into a right relationship with Him. We also pray for healing and reconciliation in your relationship with your brother, as well as with your children and your entire family. May God heal any past hurts and draw you all closer together in His love.
We pray for the funeral service, that it would be a bright and memorable occasion, filled with the peace and hope of Jesus Christ. May the Lord bring the right people to the service, people who will promote peace and bring glory to His name.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the promise in Philippians 2:10-11, 'that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.' It is in this powerful name that we pray, confident that God hears us and is working all things together for your good.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our ### and his family in their time of need. We pray for Your comfort, Your peace, and Your guidance to be with them every step of the way. We pray for Your Holy Spirit to be present at the funeral, drawing all attendees to Your loving kindness. We pray for healing and reconciliation in their family, and we pray for deliverance and salvation for their brother. We pray that this time of mourning would turn into an occasion of praise and hope as they celebrate the life of their mother and encounter the love of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
