We join with you, MKG, in praying for your son's safe journey back to his apartment. We are reminded of God's promise in Psalm 91:11-12 WEB, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up MKG's son as he travels back to his apartment. We thank You for the precious time they had together over Christmas and New Year's.
Lord, we pray for Your hedge of protection around him and his car. Surround him with Your angels to guard and guide him throughout his journey. Grant him alertness, wisdom, and keen eyesight as he drives. Help him to be cautious and focused on the road, and give him grace and patience in dealing with other drivers. We also pray for those driving around him, that they too may be responsible and attentive, contributing to a safe journey for all.
Father, we ask that this trip be a time of reflection and spiritual growth for him. Draw his heart and mind to meditate on Jesus, His love, and His sacrifice for us. May this time alone in the car be filled with Your presence, and may he encounter You in a meaningful way.
In Jesus' name, we pray for his safe arrival at his apartment. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and protection.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
MKG, be encouraged by Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Trust that God hears your prayers and will be with your son on his journey. We are also praying for your peace of mind during this time.
If your son is not already committed to Jesus, we encourage you to share the good news of Jesus and his salvation. John 14:6 WEB states, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. If you or your son have any questions about this, please let us know.
In closing, let us remember the promise of James 4:8 WEB, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." May this journey be a time for your son to draw near to God, and may God draw near to him.
