We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we want to approach this situation with care, compassion, and biblical principles. First, we want to acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ, as you have come before His throne of grace. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, and it is only through His work on the cross that we can find forgiveness, mercy, and eternal life. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Divorce is a serious matter in the eyes of God. Malachi 2:16 WEB says, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel. We encourage you to reflect on this truth and consider whether reconciliation is possible. We are called to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9 WEB), and God can heal and restore even the most broken of relationships. If you are a victim of unrepentant adultery (Matthew 5:32 WEB) or have an unbelieving spouse who is leaving you (1 Corinthians 7:15 WEB), then there may be biblical grounds for divorce. However, it is essential to seek godly counsel and support during this time.
Regardless of the outcome, we pray that God will grant you mercy, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in need of Your guidance and mercy. Grant her the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding she needs to navigate this difficult time. We pray for healing and restoration in her marriage if that is Your will. If not, guide her through this process with peace and protection. Help her to trust in You and lean not on her own understanding. May she feel Your loving presence as she walks this path. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you, (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB). Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you.
