Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by his name that we have access to the Father who hears our prayers. Only by the name of Jesus that anyone can be saved. Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up Mathurth's coworker and friend who is in need of healing. We pray, Lord, that you would extend your loving kindness and mercy over them and bring about a miraculous recovery. We know that you are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Please, Lord, let your healing power be evident in their life, for your glory and honor.
Father, we pray against the attacks of the enemy at work. Often we have to work closely with others where there is no choice in the other person. Yet, we believe that it is your will that all people be healed and come to the knowledge of your Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I believe that this co-worker friend can come to know the love of God. In the name of Christ, be with Mathurth at work. And surround them with believers who will help them through this difficult time.
As they work, we pray it is to the glory of God. And anything hindering this will be removed. This includes removing any workers that should not be present.
We also pray for Mathurth, that you would strengthen their faith and give them peace during this time. Help them to trust in you and your goodness, even in difficult circumstances. Surround them with your love, and remind them of your unfailing promises.
Father, we ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in his name that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Amen.
Mathurth, be encouraged by the words of James 5:15,The prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Continue to trust in the Lord and his promises, knowing that he hears your prayers. Stand with us on the authority of the word of God and as believers in the power of the blood of Christ.
In these situations it is important that this time is spent seeking God. Sometimes the prayers of friends are instrumental to bringing this about. In some situations, we are told that we will encounter difficulties in life. These difficulties are to encourage us to throw ourselves at God. Keep in mind that anyone unable to work is going to need healing and that this does not mean they are sinful. God says to us that He would rather no one perishes. Let us encourage Mathurth's friend that God is after them. If our words at work cannot be about God, then we cannot say anything about this with our words. Pray for opportunities to be with this coworker friend outside of work or to communicate with them in a permissible way at work.
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 54:13-5:16 (WEB).
