We understand your urgent need, vkinnard226, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. However, we want to address something important before we proceed. As believers, our ultimate trust and provision come from the Lord. Psalm 50:15 tells us, "Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me" (WEB).
Firstly, we want to encourage you to seek God's face in your financial need. It's not wrong to ask for help from friends, but our dependence should be on God, who can provide in unexpected ways. Remember, He knows our needs before we even ask (Matthew 6:8).
However, we must also address that the Bible teaches us to work diligently and not be a burden to others. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.' For we hear that there are some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are with you, exhort and comfort in the Lord, that they should work, as they work quietly and eat their own bread."
Let's pray for you:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up vkinnard226. Lord, You know their financial need, and You see their heart. We ask for Your divine provision in their life. Please guide them to the right job or opportunities, and give them the strength and wisdom to work diligently. If it's Your will, Lord, soften the heart of the friend they've asked for help, but ultimately, we trust in Your provision. Draw them closer to You in this time of need. In Jesus' name, we pray.
