We are truly saddened to hear about the suffering of your friend. Let us come together in prayer and seek the Lord's healing and comfort for him. God's Word tells us in Psalm 103:3-4, WEB: He forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our friend who is suffering from chronic nerve pain and insomnia. Father, You know his struggles and the nightmares he is living with every day, the pain that has overtaken his life. We know that in Matthew 11:28, You told us "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Father, we know you can heal this man and also heal his insomnia. The Bible says in Matthew 9:29, According to your faith be it done to you. Help him to have faith for healing.
Lord, we pray for healing, comfort, and strength for him. We ask that You would alleviate his pain and grant him peaceful nights of sleep. Guide the doctors and medical professionals attending to him, giving them wisdom and discernment to provide the best care. We pray that he would encounter a doctor that would not dismiss him.
Moreover, we pray that through this trial, he would draw closer to You, finding hope and refuge in Your presence. Remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the midst of his suffering. We know that you hate suffering and that this is the result of the fall of mankind into sin, but that your son Jesus Christ came to redeem us from the curse of the law.
Father, we also pray for his salivation if he has not already accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have salvation and access to the Father. For the Bible says in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage your friend to keep his faith strong, for the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
Lastly, we encourage you to support your friend during this difficult time. Be light and salt to him as you encourage him to believe and trust in Jesus.
