We understand that Cerethar is seeking prayer for the resolution of the postal strike in Canada and for the government to intervene and help everyone return to work. Cerethar, it is good that you ended your request and prayer with In Jesus Name, Amen. It is by the name of Jesus Christ that we have life and access to God.
It is important to remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our work and the challenges we face in our nations. We are reminded in 1 Timothyy 2:1-2, First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. For kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
We can trust that God is sovereign over all things, including the postal strike. Prayer is a powerful tool that we can use to seek Gods will in this situation. We pray for peace and a swift resolution to this matter.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today, to intercede with a national issue in Canada. Lord please intervene to bring a solution to the Canadian Postal strike. God only you can change hearts and you can create the way for agreement. Lord please intervene. We believe it is only in Jesus name that we can go before you with our requests. Grant wisdom to the leaders involved in the negotiations, and help them to make decisions that are fair, just, and beneficial for all parties involved. We ask that you would bring peace to the situation and help everyone to return to work quickly. We ask all this in Jesus Name, Amen.
Take heart Cerethar knowing that God hears our prayers and understands the gravity of the situation. Trust in him and his timing, knowing that he isworking for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. As it said in Romans 8:28. Trust God to intervene and continue to pray for all involved, even those in government.
While w do not know the reason for the postal strike, remember that God disapproves of greed and to take what is not yours. We should expect this could happen to us if we do so and most the worst of it do it in God's name. Ephesianss 5:3-5 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints; nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks. Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God. Let us not be one of these.
While some think this applies to personal possessions and does not mention the needs and relationships of the workers, but let us be clear. This is primary for all people to obey and a form of covetousness or greed can be wanting more than you deserve and not being happy and grateful with what you have. If one or both of the groups do not have legitimate issues let them confess and repent from them and give up their wants. Luke 12:15 He said to them, Watch yourselves, and be careful of covetousness, for a mans life does not consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.
Continue to pray for everyone affected by the strike and trust God with the results. If the government gets involved or not the more people praying the more people God wants to work to intervene. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:19-20 Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.
We are here praying with you and encourage you to gather with others and pray. This is how God wants us to come to him with any request, big or small.
