We stand with you in prayer, rebuking the spirit of divorce and single motherhood that has been affecting your family. We must remember that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16 "For I hate divorce, says the Lord, the God of Israel". It is not His will for marriages to end in this way. Also we are advised in 1 Corinthians 7:12-13 "But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is pleased to dwell with him, let him not leave her. The woman who has a husband who does not believe, and he is pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave her husband". So we should encourage as long as he or she is willing to dwell together unless adultery is happening and even in this case it is intended that the heart is to be restored after a period. Also, it is crucial to honor God's design for marriage as stated in the World English Bible (Matthew 19:4-6) And he answered, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in the marriages of our dear sister's family. Father, we rebuke and cancel the spirit of divorce and single motherhood that has been operating in their lives. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we command this spirit to leave and never return.
Lord, we pray for your presence to rest in Sheila Mbabazi's marriage. We pray Lord, that there is repentance in each party for anything each has done to quench your Holy Spirit. We pray there is forgiveness from each party for every trespass against them. We pray for guidance in each situation, that they would truly become one and love each other as ordained by You, Father. We rebuke the sin of adultery and lust of the flesh that has been affecting Normal Kamugira's life. We pray Lord, that you would strengthen him in his salvation and relationship with Jesus Christ, that he would commit his ways unto you and resist Satan, that the devil may flee from him. Holy Spirit we pray You would restore Normal in every area of need. Father, we pray you would strengthen them to be godly examples for their child. We pray for provision, that Normal Kamugira be a hardworking Godly example of one who does not cheat or drink to overcome his feelings of guilt and low self-esteem. Let him be transformed by having his mind renewed not being conformed to worldly standards, but be transformed each day into the image of Jesus Christ . Lord, we lift up Sheila Mbabazi, and we pray that you grant her the wisdom, love, and understanding to support her husband. We pray for communication, transparency, and a great family understanding between them. Father you are the master planner, teach them to pray together regularly.
Lord, we also lift up our sister who is yet to be married. We pray and declare you would prepare their hearts and minds even now. We cancel any plan of divorce and single motherhood in this family. We pray in agreement with this person that has submitted a prayer request in the name of Jesus that You would do this. Lord, as you said in John 14:13-14 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. We thank you for this promise.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We believe and declare that You are restoring and healing these marriages and this family. We love you and need you Lord. We agree and pray and ask these things in Jesus' name, Amen!
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and stand in faith, believing that God is working in your family's lives. Remain steadfast in the Word and be filled with the transforming Holy Spirit. Also remember the whole armor of God daily. Continue praying with your siblings and remind them of the commitment they made before God. Encourage each other and hold on to hope. Remember love never fails. God will make a way when there seems to be no way. Glory be to God!
