We understand that you have concerns about the influx of foreigners into your country and the impacts on jobs, housing, and culture. However, we must first address the heart and biblical perspective on this issue. Scripture is clear that we are to welcome the stranger and love the foreigner among us, as we were once foreigners and strangers to the covenants of promise.
Let us not forget the words of Jesus himself, "if you do it to the least of these my brethren you do it unto me." This reminds us that our actions and attitudes towards others are a reflection of our love for God. In Exodus 22:21 WEB, God instructs the Israelites, "You shall not wrong a foreigner, neither shall you oppress him; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt."
Furthermore, Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in."
Furthermore, we should not be afraid, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. God is sovereign and has a purpose for allowing anyone into our lives. Instead of fearing the foreigner, we should find opportunities to minister the love of Jesus Christ to them.
Let us pray for God's will to be done in your country and for the hearts of its citizens to be filled with love and compassion. Let us pray for the foreigners who have come to live and work there, that they may be treated justly and fairly, and that they may come to the saving knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood: but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray for this nation and its citizens. We ask that You would fill their hearts with Your love and compassion, driving out any fear or animosity towards foreigners. Help them to see these strangers as an opportunity to demonstrate the gospel and impact lives. We pray for the foreigners, that they may be treated justly and fairly, and that they too may come to know Your saving grace. We ask for wisdom for the leaders of this nation, that they may make decisions that align with Your will and Your heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition, we were not given specifics on how these foreigners were acting, but we do know from scripture that we are to obey the laws of the land, for they are ordained by God. If the foreigner is acting in a way that is against the law or the principles of God, then those are topics to be addressed with them. However, it appears that the primary concern was their presence in the country, and that is not a biblical reason to reject them.
