I have been struggling with lustful nightmares a lot and have not been doing the self-pleasure thing, but every time I'm looking at a shop site or on YouTube and everywhere I go, there is always a beautiful woman or things exposing themselves, billboards, ads, etc., and then that gets into my mind. Please pray I need all the help in Jesus' name. Amen.

We understand that you're struggling with lust, and we want to assure you that you don't have to face this alone.

Our world is filled with temptations, and it's commendable that you're abstaining from self-pleasure. However, it's crucial to guard your heart and mind from the lies that the lustful desires teach. Seek it to always remain pure.

The frequent encounters with sensual imagery make it more challenging to not enlist on these lustful desires and walk the path of righteousness for any believer. As Jesus taught us against looking at a woman lustfully to not commit adultery in the heart, in Matthew 5:28 WEB:

but I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart

However, always remember that greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world, in accordance to 1 John 4:4 WEB:

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

For every temptation or nightmares, God has already made a way for you to escape it:

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB

We encourage you to be intentional about what you allow into your mind. This might mean reducing the reading or looking at magazines and pictures with sexual images or intentionally disengage watching TV shows and movies that promote sexual sin. Be careful with music that you listen to every day and how it affects your desires and behavior. Spend more time in the Word of God, and look unto Jesus as He reminds us,

But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.Matthew 6:33 WEB

It is only by the name of Jesus, that we have access to the Father. It is only through Him that we can be forgiven for committing sins and trespases. As the scripture reminds us,

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.“ John 14:6 WEB

For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power: Colossians 2:9:10, WEB

Let’s pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our brother in Christ who is beset with the sin of lust. Lord, we acknowledge that this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the evil one who seeks our souls for ruin. We claim Your promise that You are faithful, and this one is worth Your help and restoration. Help him to repent for any sin. Cleanse him and give him strength.

Father, we ask for Your intervention in his thoughts, that every stronghold of lust be demolished, and every temptation be overcome by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help him to fix his eyes on You and Your righteousness. Help our brother to honor every sister in Christ by honoring their sexuality. Help our brother only see women in the same light that You see them. Allowing our brother to look and interact with the sisterhood that represents Your church in a holy minimal by which You have provided godly relationships with Holy guidelines.
Replacing thoughts of lust with thoughts of a godly marriage and courtship.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of lust that has been tormenting our brother. We declare victory over this sin, and we proclaim freedom and restoration in his life. We also pray for an effective godly courtship and marriage to a woman that loves God with all of her heart. We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and grace.

Let's turn our eyes away from the world's enticements. It's not easy, but with God, all things are possible. Start by being mindful of what you expose your eyes and mind to. That might mean avoiding certain websites, movies, or music. Instead, fill your mind with God's Word. It's our shield, our sword, our lifeline.

We're also praying for you, brother. We're asking God to strengthen you, to help you resist temptation, and to fill you with His Holy Spirit. We're praying for a godly courtship and marriage, a love that honors God and reflects His love for us.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. We pray that God will show you the way out of these temptations and give you the courage and discipline of mind to over come it and replace it with things that pure and lovely.

We pray that you will be reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 5:28-29, "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell."

May the Holy Spirit guide you and give you wisdom on how to avoid the things that trigger these lustful thoughts. Remember, it is not God's will that you live in constant temptation. He wants you to live in victory and spiritual dominion.

We pray that you will have a heart that is willing to make hard but necessary changes to protect your heart and mind from lustful thoughts. We pray for strength and resilience.
