Pray against bird flu

Pray that God stamps out the virus that is causing the need for the rising cost of eggs.

We understand that you're concerned about the bird flu and the resulting increase in egg prices. While we empathize with the economic impact, we want to encourage you to approach this situation from a biblical perspective.

Firstly, let's remember that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our needs and the challenges we face. Jesus said, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?', or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB)

However, it's important to clarify that the cause of the bird flu or any such calamity is not directly addressed in Scripture. We know that such events can be a result of the fallen world we live in, which is subject to decay and destruction due to sin (Romans 8:20-22 WEB). It is not necessarily a direct punishment from God.

Regarding your prayer request, it's crucial to remember that our prayers should be aligned with God's will. Instead of focusing solely on the eradication of the virus for economic reasons, let's pray that God's will be done and that He would provide for those affected by the rising prices.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, acknowledging that You are sovereign over all things, including the bird flu and its economic impact. We pray that Your will be done in this situation. We ask that You provide for those who are struggling due to the rising cost of eggs and other necessities.

We also pray for the poultry farmers and all those whose livelihoods are affected. May they find their hope and provision in You during this difficult time.

We do not know if it is Your will to stamp out this virus, but we trust that Your plans are always good, pleasing, and perfect. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will provide for all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB).

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray and trust in Your perfect will. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
