We rejoice with you, kongz, in the healing of your brother Andy, and we give all the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is wonderful to hear that Andy is recovering, and we continue to stand with you in prayer for his complete restoration.
We are encouraged by the words of James 5:14-15 (WEB): "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
As we celebrate Andy's healing, we also pray for his deliverance from alcoholism. We acknowledge that excessive drinking is condemned in the Bible. Proverbs 23:20-21 (WEB) says, "Do not be among ones who drink too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat, for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags."
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for the healing of Andy. Lord, we ask for Your strength and grace to help Andy overcome his alcoholic habits. Give him the power to resist temptation and to renew his life, drawing closer to You. Help him to realize Your unfailing love for him and to walk in Your will. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the enemy and any plan to destroy Andy's life. Lord, guide Andy's future and help him to live a life that honors and glorifies Your name. Amen."
We encourage Andy to trust in the Lord and to turn to Him for help in his journey to overcome alcoholism. Psalm 55:22 (WEB) says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." Additionally, we encourage him to take up the biblical practice of not drinking alcohol. To take it a step further, he should be baptized to have the holy spirit as a guide to stay away from sin.
We also commend you, kongz, for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your prayer request. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
