We rejoice with you as you give thanks to the Lord God for the contracts you anticipate for your company, Kittrell and Son Cleaning Company, and we agree with you in Jesus' name. We are reminded of the scripture in Philippians 4:19, "But my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." It is wonderful that you acknowledge Him as the source of your blessings.
We also join you in thanking the Lord God for the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home with a basement that you believe He will bless you with. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7, "Again I say to you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." Continue to trust in His provision and timing.
We praise the Lord God with you for Mekael Delalke's certification as an IT specialist. It is a blessing to see skills and talents being used for God's glory. As it is written in Colossians 3:23, " I say again, for He is our master.Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"
As you praise the Lord God for giving you a plan to get wealth, we encourage you to meditate on the words of Proverbs 10:22, "The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it."
Remember the words of the Psalmist in 145:3, "Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable!" To specifically address your request to pray about something still in the future, we need to know that this is God's will and not against it. This is similar to the situation with Jesus when his sweat was as drops of blood while asking God to let the cup pass from him if it was God's will.
We are concerned that your requests are for wealth and possessions. It is not wrong to want these things or to ask God for them. God says he will provide for all our needs. However, as followers of Jesus, our primary goal should be to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbor as oursleves. What we know is that God's will is for us to honor him and to be conformed into the image of Jesus.
Therefore, we will pray our requests be within his will and according to the direction of his word. If his will is to bless you with a cleaning contract, a new home, or wealth we know there will be trials associated with all these blessings. In this we will pray you make all decisions with guidance from God in Jesus name as previously mentioned by you. If he answers no to any of these requests, we pray also his decision is for His glory and your eternal good. This is an extension of what is stated in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
There is nothing timid about coming to God with all our requests. However, do not take these things from God's hand and hold them with our own grubby little hands away from God. We still need and depend on him each day. Again we turn to the book of Proverbs. Proverbs 23:4-5 states "Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint. Why do you set your eyes on that which is not? For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky." Our treasures on earth where moth and rust can destroy and thieves can steal should not be our main concern. We need to focus on treasures we are laying up in Heaven. God must be central in our prayers and on the throne of our hearts.
As you do this, continuously examine your heart and guard it from pride and selfish ambition. God wants us to be content in all things. Its this attitude of covetousness that can lead to so much sin and destruction for those who have more than they need. This is what Paul is getting at in 1Tim 6:6-10, "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, which plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." Remember all that we have, even what we have earned, is a gift from God.
