Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother ### in prayer. We thank you for his desire to walk in the Spirit and to live a life that is pleasing to you. We acknowledge that it is only through your grace and the power of your Holy Spirit that we can overcome the lusts of the flesh and live in obedience to your will.
Father, we pray that you would help ### to surrender every area of his life to you. We ask that you would reveal any inappropriate substitutions or sinful habits that may have taken the place of his previous addiction. Give him the strength and conviction to let go of anything that hinders his walk with you.
Lord, we pray for forgiveness for any lust, lies, or disobedience that ### has been involved in. We ask for your mercy and cleansing, knowing that you are faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins to you. Help him to turn away from these behaviors and to walk in righteousness and holiness.
Father, we pray that you would fill ### with your Holy Spirit, guiding him in every step he takes. May he be sensitive to your leading and obedient to your voice. Help him to stay rooted in your Word and to seek your presence daily. Protect him from falling back into old patterns and keep him on the path that leads to eternal life.
We declare that ### is clean through the blood of Jesus Christ. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ, and that old things have passed away. We thank you for your faithfulness in transforming his life and we trust that you will continue to work in him, conforming him to the image of your Son.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
