Servant of All
Thank you soooooo much to everyone who helped me pray about the ACT!!! I only had a few days to prepare for the tests, which isn’t enough for anyone, and I hadn’t taken a math class in around 6 years. I was feeling very stressed and hopeless, but Jesus reminded me ‘what you sow in tears, you will reap in joy’. The morning of I knew in the natural I shouldn’t even go, but in the spirit, all I had to was go and take the exam and Jesus would secure victory for me! He blessed me with a merit scholarship from ACT scores!
The timing of our trip left us with just one day to deal with mold in one of the storm-wrecked rooms, clean the rest of the house, unpack, cook Christmas dinner, buy gifts and bake cookies to give, and wrap them. We were worried about how we would get it all done before our guest arrived, but Jesus pulled it off for us!
My parents had a huge bug problem in their house for years. It made it difficult to cook in their kitchen. We had pest control come, but nothing worked, so we prayed against plagues. Suddenly, before Christmas, every bug disappeared. We hadn’t done anything but prayed in a long time so there was no reason for them to just disappear other than God. It made the stay much nicer for our guest.
I wasn’t reading the word as much as I should during our vacation and afterwards felt like I was really losing my peace. We hadn’t been to church in several weeks. I slept in Sunday and woke up with only a few minutes but the Lord got us there on time! Worshipping Him in church again lifted my spirits greatly. It reminded us of another time when we were driving to church and were late, so we prayed and arrived on time! I don’t know how he manipulated time for us but I’m grateful.
During worship I felt led and slipped my shoes off. When the pastor started preaching, the entire message was about taking off your shoes. Moses was commanded to take his shoes off because he was on holy ground. In Ruth, casting a shoe was used to seal a deal. Taking our shoes off is symbolic of submission and obedience to God. After the sermon several people removed their shoes and approached the altar. Praise Jesus
