One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, "Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!" Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!

We must remember that worshiping God, both when we are assembled with other believers and in our daily lives, involves ministering to each other! [1] God is praised when the touch of Jesus is felt and the brokenness of God's children is addressed with love. Worship isn't about a religious audience watching a few spiritual performers do their act, but about Jesus' body ministering to brokenness, committing to and practicing holiness, and praising God for his grace.

Father, give me eyes to see those I need to touch and bless with your grace when I go to be with your people to worship you and as I live my daily life before you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
