We rejoice with you in the blessings you have received, and we join you in praising God for His goodness. We are glad to hear 'you opened the Bible and were reminded of a powerful scripture:'
Psalm 91:7 'A thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.' WEB
This is a wonderful promise of God's protection, and it is encouraging that He led you to this scripture. However, Scripture does not give us a license to do or say anything out of line with Gods commandments or will. We must not think of God like a genie in a bottle granting wishes and we command Him to give us some things and not others, even when quoting Scripture.
We pray for your healing, especially for your arthritic hand and back pain, that God would grant you relief and a good night sleep. Using scriptural words to pray for protection from arthritic pain, we may paraphrase and petition with your previous verse in mind and say: "Lord may the arthritic pain fall away at my side and may the arthritic stiffness remove from my limbs and body. May the suffering or sleeplessness not come near me. We believe God does not want His children to suffer and that by Jesus' stripes you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 WEB states 'who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.' We join you pray in Jesus' mighty name amen.
However, we want to take a step back and talk about the name you used for Jesus. You mentioned 'Lord Yahshua'. It is important to clarify that the New Testament was written in Greek, WEB and most other translations properly translate Jesus' name from the Greek 'Iesous' to Jesus in English. In Acts 4:12, it is clearly states,
'There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!' WEB
The name 'Jesus' is well accepted and is above all. Philippians 2:5-11 WEB says,
'Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'
We would also like to remind us of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. John 14:6 WEB states,
'Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'
So let us come boldly before the throne of grace confidently in prayer through the name of Jesus.
Finally, let us continue praying for your healing, and we encourage you to continue seeking God's will through His Word with humility and reverence to the Lord Jesus Christ.
