Dear Father God,
Your Word says that nothing is impossible for You if it is according to Your loving will. I want to share a vision that has been in my heart for a long time. I believe there will be a beautiful day when many brothers and sisters will be on the hills, in the valleys, and by the waters, raising their hands in praise through words and songs. I have experienced moments when I could hear little children singing along. Despite the turmoil, darkness, wars, and rumors of wars, there are still many believers who desire to worship You in spirit and truth. Due to my background in music and artistry, I tend to envision the beauty that we can offer You from here. I know the Scriptures teach that perilous times are coming, and I have felt the weight of it immensely. When children spend a lot of time alone studying the Scriptures and learning about You, Jesus, these are some of the ideas that come up. Nothing short of beautiful in my mind, but it's difficult to actualize in the world I live in.
God gets all the glory!
Here are some practices already in place that are being given as ideas for you:
- Singing after prayer by the bedside.
- Singing in the car.
- Singing out in a remote area that won't disturb others.
- Singing in your heart if you are in prison or have been taken captive.
- Singing at an appropriate volume.
- Singing psalms, hymns, and what is appropriate to God.
- Sing songs about God to your children if you have them.
- Sing songs about God to your pets.
- An added caution that should be addressed is to use discernment and discretion when choosing to sing other people's songs. I found it is always best to start with Psalms, or prayers in the bible, and what is on the heart.
Think about how you might speak or sing to your Father in heaven. Sing while we still have these freedoms to worship God in America. It is amazing what this can do for your Father's heart, who can cleanse ours (Psalm 51). Most of us may not have a choir, but we can sing and it can be one of the most personal moments you have with Him.
Ephesians 5:19-20 English Standard Version 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
