We are truly sorry to hear that you are struggling with mental illness. We want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle, and that God cares deeply for you. First, it is important to acknowledge His power and love for you as you go through this battle.
The Psalmist echoes this when he said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
We are instructed to cast all of our anxieties on Him because He cares for you.
Please know that this does not mean that you should not seek professional medical and psychological help. God has given us wonderful advances in medicine and counseling, and we should make use of them.
We pray for your healing and comfort,
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our fellow struggler to Your throne of grace. We ask, Lord Jesus, that You would bring healing and comfort to their mind and body. Guide them to the right professionals who can help them navigate this difficult time. Give them strength and courage to face each day, and remind them of Your unfailing love and presence in their life. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who calmed the storms and healed the brokenhearted.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek God in prayer and in His Word. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. Trust in Him and ask for peace of mind and heart. Remember that He is the God of all hope and restoration.
If you have not already sought the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, we encourage you to:
If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, 'Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame'
