We understand your concern for your possessions, Stitcher, but let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:19-21 (WEB): "Donβt lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves donβt break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
While it's natural to be concerned about our earthly possessions, our ultimate trust should be in God and our treasure should be laid up in heaven. That being said, we will pray for the protection of your belongings.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister, Stitcher. Lord, we know that You care about every detail of our lives, including our possessions. We ask You to protect Stitcher's belongings from any damage caused by Hurricane Helene. We pray that You will give Stitcher peace, knowing that their true treasure is in heaven with You. Help them to trust in You, regardless of the outcome. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stitcher, we encourage you to use this as an opportunity to deepen your trust in God. Remember, even in the midst of storms, He is faithful. As Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that it's only by His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
