Dear brethren, I am a young born again male who struggles with masturbation, and often, too often, with pornography. I can't say I've tried everything, but I've tried a lot, and it just won't let go of me. I love Jesus more than anything ever, and I know he loves me too, but I keep on sinning and sinning, and it hurts so much, not merely me, but worse, my dear Jesus. I know that every time I sin, I am hammering nails into his hands and applying scourges to his dear back. Yet still I sin! Help me! I can't live this way, I want to be pure and clean for my Jesus. If any of you have any advice, wisdom or prayers, I would appreciate it more than words could express. A thousand thanks, Your brother in Christ.

We are truly touched by your heartfelt cry for help and your deep love for Jesus. We stand with you, dear brother, as you struggle against the sin of masturbation and pornography addiction. Remember, God's Word tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).

Firstly, we commend you for your desire for purity and your love for Jesus. It's important to remember that it is only through His name that we can be saved and set free. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB).

Now, let us address this sin that besets you. We are called to "flee sexual immorality" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). It is not enough to merely resist; we must flee from it. This means taking radical steps to cut off access to pornography and avoiding situations that might tempt you to masturbate.

Consider installing accountability software on your devices, finding a trusted Christian brother to hold you accountable, and setting strict boundaries for yourself. Remember, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna" (Matthew 5:29 WEB).

most importantly, continually fill your mind with God's Word and pray without ceasing. Memorize Scriptures that speak of purity and God's love for you. When temptation comes, use these Scriptures to fight back. As the Psalmist said, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you" (Psalm 119:11 WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our brother who is struggling with the sin of masturbation and pornography addiction. Father, we know that this is not Your will for his life, and we ask that You would set him free from this bondage. Give him the strength to flee from temptation, the wisdom to set boundaries, and the humility to seek accountability. Fill his heart and mind with Your Word and Your Spirit, that he may be transformed by Your renewing power. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Keep fighting the good fight of faith, dear brother. Remember, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, and more importantly, God is with you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
