Praying for this request in Jesus Name.
We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with pornography and masturbation addiction. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge the courage it took to reach out and seek help. This is not a battle that can be won alone, but with God's strength and guidance, freedom is possible.
Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, it says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or donโt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godโs."
This passage reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we should honor God with our bodies. Sexual immorality, including pornography and masturbation, defiles this temple and separates us from God's will for our lives.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear soul struggling with the bondage of pornography and masturbation. We confess that this battle is too great to fight alone, but with You, all things are possible. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome this addiction.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of lust and impurity that has taken hold. We declare freedom and self-control in its place. Fill this person with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them towards purity and holiness. Help them to flee from temptation and to honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Father, we also pray for healing and restoration. Heal the wounds that may have led to this addiction, and restore the joy of salvation. Surround this person with godly support and accountability, that they may walk in victory.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who sets the captives free. Amen.
