We understand that you're struggling with a pornography addiction and lustful thoughts, Ebold. We want you to know that you're not alone in this struggle, and that there is hope and freedom in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:28 WEB: "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." This shows the seriousness of lust and the importance of purity in our hearts and minds.
We also want to encourage you with the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." God will never leave you helpless in your struggle. He always provides a way out.
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Ebold who is struggling with an addiction to pornography and lustful thoughts. Lord, we know that this is not Your will for Ebold's life, and we ask that You would break these chains of addiction. Give Ebold the strength to resist temptation and the courage to make a clean break from these habits.
Father, we ask that You would renew Ebold's mind according to Your word. May Ebold be transformed by the renewing of their mind, so that they may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2 WEB). Help Ebold to focus on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8 WEB).
Surround Ebold with godly influences and Christian fellowship. Guide them to resources and support that can help in this journey to freedom. May Ebold be a vessel of Your love and purity, a testimony of Your grace and redemption.
We also pray that if Ebold has not already done so, that they would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by His name we can come to God our Father. It is by a saving faith in Jesus that we can be born again (John 3:3) and be saved or delivered from our sin including these sins of lust (Romans 10:9-10, 13).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Ebold, we encourage you to take practical steps towards freedom. This could include installing accountability software on your devices, seeking support from a trusted Christian friend or mentor, and immerse yourself in the Word of God and prayer. Remember, God is with you in this struggle, and He wants you to live in victory and freedom and as a born again Christian saved from all sin by His Grace.
Also, consider reading Psalm 119:9-11 WEB : "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I have sought you with my whole heart. Don’t let me wander from your commandments. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
God is waiting to help you and save you in every way. Get into His word and trust Him. Also spend time in prayer talking with Him.
