Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts burdened for our dear brother or sister who is struggling with the chains of pornography addiction. Lord, we know that You are a God of freedom and healing. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Lord, we pray that You would provide that way of escape for our dear one. Grant strength and courage to resist the temptations that come their way. Help this person to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, as it is written in Hebrews 12:2.
We ask for Your Holy Spirit to fill their heart and mind with purity and holiness. As it says in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." May these thoughts replace the harmful images and desires.
Lord, surround our dear one with a community of support and accountability. Let Your love and grace be a constant reminder that they are not alone in this battle. We declare the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17 over them: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."
In Jesus' mighty and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
